Babilou Family participated in the 2nd Children's Festival in Luxembourg!
Babilou Family Luxembourg participated for a second year in a row in Children's Festival in Luxembourg. The event took place between 13 and 14 of May with the support of Ministère de l’Éducation nationale, de l’Enfance et de la Jeunesse.
Parents and their children took part in 55 workshops, different games to play, create, search or investigate. Through this festival the children will learn through play and become playfully acquainted with the pedagogical approach of non-formal education applied in education and childcare facilities (“crèches”,“mini-crèches”, “maisons relais”, “foyers scolaires”, “foyers de jour” or parental assistants).
During the festival the families were on the appointment, which allowed us to exchange with them on the values KidsCare offers.
Partnering with parents was highlighted this year. Thanks to our workshops, we were able to witness beautiful relationships between children and their parents. They had fun building buildings, shacks or even shops as a family, all with recycled materials.
The youngest children, on their own, have taken advantage of recycled material to make diverse and varied experiments: transfers, stacking, constructions. They were very imaginative with the choice of materials and freedom to use in their own way, with all the creativity that comes with them! This is also what we implement on a daily basis in our structures, following the Pikler and Montessori educational approaches.
In our second workshop, following the wonderful performance of our teams , parents were able to take the time to read stories to their children in the language of their choice. A pleasure for them to find books in their native language, and especially to be able to share them with their children.
Looking forward to participating in the 3rd edition of this festival next year!
