Babilou Family has appointed its new General Counsel - Rémi Freon effective from June 2023. He will report to Xavier Ouvrard, Chairman and CEO of the Babilou Family Group.
Rémi's objective is to uphold the highest ethical standards within the Group, and to maintain a culture of compliance and integrity throughout the organisation. In this capacity, Rémi Freon joins the Babilou Family Executive Committee.

Rémi Freon holds a LL.M. from Columbia Law School and a Master 2 Juriste d'affaires - DJCE from University of Toulouse Capitole.
Prior to joining Babilou Family, Rémi has first practiced law within the Sydney office of the international law firm Jones Day, and then in the Paris office of the firm where he was part of the private equity team of the firm, advising high-growth companies in the context of M&A transactions, venture capital financing rounds, IPOs and other capital market transactions, particularly in the Internet, software and biotech/medtech sectors.
Rémi then moved in 2016 to Deezer - the second largest independent music streaming company in the world with leading positions in France, Brazil, Germany (Euronext: DEEZER) - where he oversaw the legal function as General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and, in particular, had a central role in taking the company public on Euronext Paris in July 2022.
